Comparison to Peer-to-Peer architecture

One more type of network architecture is recognized as peer-to-peer, because every host or instance of the program can at the same time act as both a client and a server, and for the reason that each has equal status and responsibilities. Peer-to-peer architectures are often shortened using the acronym P2P.

Both client-server and P2P architectures are in broad usage nowadays.
