When a P-type semiconductor is suitably joined to an N-type semiconductor, then resulting arrangement is called P-N junction or P-N junction diode
Depletion region: On account of difference in concentration of charge carrier in the two sections of P-N junction, the electrons from N-region diffuse by the junction into P-region and the hole from P region diffuse into N-region.
Because of diffusion, neutrality of both N and P-type semiconductor is disturbed, a layer of negative charged ions appear near the junction in the P-crystal and a layer of positive ions appears by the junction in N-crystal. This layer is known as depletion layer
compare the contributions of faraday and oersted to electromagnetic theory
a small block of weight 10 Ib is placed on an inclined plane which makes an angle of 30 degree with the horizon. resolve the gravitational force.
Obtain Relativistic expression for the kinetic energy of the particle.
Making a jam jar aquarium If a large glass tank is not available, practically any glass vessel can be used as a easy aquarium if it is well stocked with submerged water plants
A thin uniform rectangular sign hangs vertically above the door of a shop. The sign is hinged to a stationary horizontal rod along its top edge. The mass of the sign is 2.40 kg and
An atom has 26 electrons and its atomic weight is 56. The number of neutrons in the nucleus of the atom will be : (1) 26 (2) 30 (3) 36 (
Mass energy relation - The total energy of a body is the sum of its kinetic energy and rest mass energy. Particle having rest mass zero always move with the velocity of light.
how would you describe the discoveries of Benjamin franklin, Robert millikan, cgarles-augastin de coulomb and Ernest ruthford?
Start from the expression of the electric field outside an infinite sheet of uniform surface charge density, E = s/2epsilon, derive the electric field just outside an ideal conduct
