I have an excel list with a lot's of serial numbers that have been entered by hand from PDFs online (1-5 serial numbers per PDF). Many of the values are duplicates, wrong, or contain superfluous characters. There are 397 rows presently (about 350 PDFs), and I would like them cleaned up and corrected.
From my limited knowledge of Visual Basic, I think some of this will be cleaned using macros, but much of it will have to be done by hand. You need to be elegant, because there is some investigatory work that needs to be done and you need to figure out what fits and what doesn't. A fast internet connection is recommended as some of the PDFs are fairly large.
