The natural rubber that is raw is a soft gummy and sticky volume. It is not soluble in water, alkalies and dil. Acids although soluble in carbon disulphide, chloroform, ether, petrol and benzene. It soaks up a large volume of water. It comprises minimum tensile strength and elasticity.
