Important points about Types of light resources - illumination model
Note: While we see an opaque non-luminous object, we notice reflected light by one surface of the object. The whole reflected light is the sum of all contribution from light sources and the other reflecting surfaces in the scene. Hence a surfaces which is not directly exposed to a light resource may yet be visible if nearby objects are illuminated.
Figure: 1
By figure of 1 we can conclude about the expression i.e. specified below holds good in real life conditions
Light viewed from opaque non-luminous surface = Light from sources + Light from Other Surfaces
Because light sources are fairly dominant that is needed to establish realism in any graphic scene. Moreover, there are a variety of light sources, thus we require classifying them.
Sources of Light can be categorized as:
a) Point source
b) Parallel Source
c) Distributed Source
Reflection about a Line - 2-D and 3-D Transformations Reflection is a transformation that produces the mirror image of an object. Since we discussed that the mirror reflection
Phong Specular Reflection Model or Specular Reflection This model of local illumination is frequently termed as the Phong specular reflection model. Here we discuss the matter
Rotation - 2-D and 3-D transformations Within 2-D rotation, an object is rotated via an angle θ along w.r.t. the origin. This angle is assumed to be +ive for anticlockwise rot
Suggest a method to draw an object as in figure using four Bézier curves of suitable degree Answer: Employ four quartic Bézier curves with the endpoint of one as the initial poi
What are the important properties of Bezier Curve? It requires only four control points It always passes by the first and last control points The curve lies enti
