Illustrate the overview of operational functions or departments?

Organisations create products or deliver services and act rely heavily onto operational processes to create effective efficiently and products deliver them onto time. Operational functions or operational departments have the responsibility for the transformational procedure of converting business inputs for illustrations, staff, machines, materials and money, to produce a lat product, in a way which adds value to customers for example, creates profit margin. Such functions can be critical to gaining competitive benefit for an organisation.
