Identify and state the dissimilar types of energy, Physics

Assignment Help:

A ball of mass 0.7 kg is dropped vertically from a height of 10 m onto a concrete floor. The ball is observed to bounce a number of times before coming to rest. The coefficient of restitution for the ball hitting the floor is 0.85;

a) Recognize and state the dissimilar types of Energy that are important in determining the outcome of this experiment.

b) What is the total mechanical energy that the system begins with?

c) What will the velocity of the ball be directly before it strikes the ground for the first time?

d) What is the total mechanical energy of the system immediately after the balls first bounce?
