Q. Identification of Pressure Welds?
Pressure welds shall be identified as follows:
a. Generally each weld shall be stamped adjacent to the weld with the welder's identity code using "low stress" hard metal punches.
b. Hard punching shall not be used on thin wall 6.5 mm (1/4") or where notch toughness has been specified on the material. A non-reactive paint or other approved method of identification is required.
