Q. How much should be the voltage of an X-ray tube so that the electrons emitted from the cathode may give an X-ray of wavelength 1 Ao after striking the target?

 λmin = 12400 A0 / V

Therefore V = 12400 A0 / λmin

= 12400 A0 / 1 Ao = 12400 volt
