All these exercises are active exercises that is active exercises are those type of physical activities carried out by the individual/patient themselves. These exercises help the patient to attain the normal physiological functions of the body.

There are certain passive exercises where the movement or activity is carried out by another person and the patient makes no voluntary effort to assist or resist the action. These activities are carried out by the physiotherapist or in the hospital by the nurses.
