Give an example of critical path by activity and duration, Project Management

Assignment Help:

Give an example of demonstrating a network or critical path by given activity and duration.

Activity                      Duration (Wks)                   Preceded by

A                                 5                                              -

B                                 4                                              -

C                                 3                                              B

Every activity is denoted through a letter and the expected duration specified. A and B could begin instantly, thus can start on the similar circle. C should be preceded from B for example C cannot start till B has been finished.
Network (critical path) diagram:

a. The elapsed or expected completion time of the project is seven weeks

b. The critical path activities are of B and C for example both must be finished within their predicted durations, or else the project will be longer into duration than seven weeks.

c. Activity A is a non-critical activity and it would have a float time of two weeks, which is since it only takes 5 weeks to finish, has nothing preceding or succeeding this, hence specified the elapsed time of the project is 7 weeks; this could finish as late as this.
