Flagellated Protozoan

  1. These are protozoan that move by means of one or more flagella and include the largest number of species, about 6,800. 
  2. Asexual reproduction is by longitudinal binary fission. In sexual reproduction isogametes are produced. 
  3. These are commonly divided into two groups on the basis of mode of nutrition.
  • Phyto flagellates
  • Zoo flagellates
