a) Briefly compare the windrow method v/s the aerated static pile composting

b) Explain, with the help of a diagram, the role of aeration in turned windrow composting

c) Around 20 kg of poultry manure is composted with 10 kg of sawdust. Find the resulting moisture content and C.N ratio.

Data:
Moisture Content of manure: 50% and sawdust: 10%,
Nitrogen % of manure = 2.5% and of sawdust =0.1%, both on dry mass basis
C/N ratio of manure is 6 and sawdust 200.
