Find the perameter of SQUARE in maths?
Remember that in a square, all sides are of equal length. A square is also a kind of rectangle.
So, you can use length (l) times width (w) to find the area (A) of a square; but since the length and width are equal, you can just multiply the length of any side (s) by itself. Remember that you can use an exponent to express this. The area will be in square units.
To find the perimeter, add the lengths of all the sides. However, since all the sides are the same length, you can just multiply the length of one side by 4.
Key Terms: Side (s) = Length (l) = Width (w)
Area (A) = (l x w) = (s x s) = s2
Perimeter (P) = 21 + 2w = 2s + 2s = 4s
