Find the correlation coefficient, Basic Statistics

We find the correlation coefficient and plot the scatter plot using excel as follows:

	Time in Waiting Room	Heart Rate
Time in Waiting Room	1
Heart Rate	-0.544180095	1

The correlation coefficient tells us that there is negative correlation between the heart rate and waiting time. It also tells us that the relationship is moderate.

But when we observe the scatter plot we get one more thing that the relationship is near linear, this information we cannot get from correlation coefficient.
