Features of modern ic engines, Electrical Engineering

Assignment Help:

The IC engine based automobiles have been built and sold for more than 100 years. Predominantly the fuels used for running these IC engines have been petrol and diesel. In recent times, alternate fuels are being tried out with encouraging results. With the adoption of modern technologies involving electronic control, the fuel systems have been developed to meet the present and future regulatory requirements. In managing the engine operation, the EMS plays a major role.

In the above context, the students are required to carry out an independent study of the latest books, relevant journals and magazines as well as other web resources and develop a debate taking a side on the topic 'Which are the most suited engines for passenger cars- diesel engines or petrol engines?'.

It must include:

  • Features of modern IC engines and challenges in developing them.
  • Views on technologies that enable the fuel system design in engines to meet the challenges
  • Critical remarks on the developmental and research work addressing the challenges in the fuel systems in modern engines that make suitable them for the passenger cars.

Expression of the views through the discussion / debate on the topics is expected. The debate should be word processed with proper citation of the references and should be restricted to Three A4 size pages.
