Explain Trifluridine (Viroptic)
Trifluridine is a nucleoside analog active against herpes viruses, including acyclovir-resistant strains. Marketed in an ophthalmic preparation, it is approved for treatment of HSV keratoconjunctivitis and recurrent epithelial keratitis.
