Explain the operation of 8:1 multiplexer.

Ans:

In this multiplexer 8 Input and 1 Output and three select lines i.e. S2, S1, S0 are given. Any one of the inputs will be selected and transmitted to the output depending on the combination of the select lines, for example If S2S1S0 = 001, so information present on I1 line will be transmitted to the output.
