International law is the body which governs State actions and its effective implementation within the States depends on the way in which States treat their international law obligations within their own domestic legal systems, thus, depending on the nature of their relationship between international law and municipal law. There are two schools of thoughts describing the relationship between International law and municipal law: monism and dualism. According to monism, municipal law and international law are part of a universal legal order, with international law being part of the same system.
