Explain the Advantages of Double Beam Method?

The double beam method has advantage over single beam as it automatically corrects, for the change in light transmission, through the reference cuvettes as the wavelength is changed. If a single beam instrument is used, it would be necessary, at each change in wavelength, to adjust the instrument to zero absorbance for a reagent blank before reading the absorbance of the sample.
