(b) Calculate the size of a 5 minutes mono sound file of CD quality and with a 16 -bit rate.

(c) Briefly explain the three following acoustic properties of sound:

(i) Loudness
(ii) Pitch
(iii) Timbre

(d) When digitizing sound the desired recording attributes are sample rate, bit resolutions and channels. Briefly explain these attributes.

(e) Most of the time sound is represented graphically as a wave (a sine wave). Explain what is meant by :

(i) the amplitude of the sound
(ii) the frequency of the sound.
