Star Topology

Since a star shaped network resembles the spoke of a wheel, center of a star network is often termed as a hub. While practice, star network seldom have a symmetric shape in that the hub is located at identical distance from all computers. As an alternative a hub frequently resides in a location separate from the computers attached to this.
