Explain ring interconnection networks, Computer Networking

Assignment Help:

Ring: It is a simple linear array where end nodes are associated.  It is equal to a mesh with wrap around connections.  The data transfer in a ring is generally one direction. So, one disadvantages to this network is that some data transfer can necessitate N/2 links to be travelled (such as nodes 1 & 2) where N is total number of nodes.
