Pyruvate carboxylation

Pyruvate carboxylation: In this reaction, pyruvate, CO,  and ATP are converted to oxaloacetate, ADP and Pi catalysed by the enzymepyruvate carboxylase and the cofactors required are biotin  and Mg++  ions. This reaction occurs  in  the mitochondria1  matrix.
