What is the role of sub- culturing? Basically, for maintaining and transferring the culture for various microbiological test procedures, sub-culturing as a technique is important. You would realize that microbiological studies require microorganisms in pure form. How to obtain these pure forms i.e., a single type of microorganism in a culture? This Practical introduces the concept of pure culture and the ways of obtaining it.
