The Use of force is a controversial and complicated issue at international level. The United Nations (UN) Charter declared it unlawful to occupy a certain piece of land by use of force. The use of force plays an important part in the international law, especially with regard to the United Nations Charter. The UN Charter in its Article 2(4) forbids all UN members from the threat or use of force in their international relations.
