President of Washington Enterprise and controlled 16 plants throughout the South. Extensive evaluation of personal records revealed the name Sid Smith, assistant plant manager in Atlanta. He was high experienced and highly regarded throughout the company. Impressed by Smith, was inclined to offer Smith the plant manager position. Mrs. Smith was to be asked to submit to a psychological examination before Mr. Smith be given a definite position. The president believed that Mrs. Smith exhibited certain traits of a neurotic or psychotic nature. Mr. Smith is outraged and demanded an apology and had no intention of following the president request. He stated that his wife's health did not bare on his employability.
