Q. What are the respective functions of the micronucleus and of the macronucleus in the paramecium?

The macronucleus is properly the cell nucleus it has RNA and DNA and acts as the center of the cellular regulation and control. The micronucleus has reproductive functions and it is related to the conjugation process i.e., sexual reproduction.
