Fungi, we have seen above, reproduce both sexually and asexually. Asexual mode of reproduction include budding, binary fission and more commonly through spore production. Asexual spores include anthrospores, chlamydospores, sporangiospores, conidiospores and blastospores. Sexual reproduction involves union of compatible nuclei to produce zygospores, ascospores and basidiospores.
