Explain about the Flash memories

These are re-writable non-volatile memories evolved from EEPROM; they are generally connected to the USB port on the computer enabling a user to transfer files between computers.

SD (secure digital) cards are a type of flash memory used in mobile phones and digital cameras. XD (extreme digital) cards are also a kind of flash memory used in digital cameras and are similar to SD cards.
