Evolutions of management theory:

In the 1980s 8.7 million foreign nationals entered the U.S and joined the labour market. They often have distinct requires for skills and language proficiency, much as those before them at the advent of the industrial age. Early management theory consisted of numerous attempts at getting to know these newcomers to industrial life at the end of the nineteenth century and beginning of the twentieth century in Europe and the United States. Some better-known approaches to early management theory contains: -

1. Scientific management,

2. Classical organization theory,

3. The behavioural school, and

4. Management science school.
