Nancy, Jennifer, Alex, and Joy ran a race. Nancy's time was 50.24 seconds, Jennifer's was 50.32, Alex's was 50.9, and Joy's was 50.2. Whose time was the fastest?

The fastest time is the smallest time. To simply compare decimals, add a zero to the end of 50.9 and 50.2 so in which they read 50.90 and 50.20. Then compare the four numbers. The times are listed from smallest to largest time below.
50.20
50.24
50.32
50.90
The smallest time is 50.20 seconds.
