EQUIPMENT FOR RESISTANCE WELDING
The equipment for resistance welding is different from that for arc welding for the following reasons: Resistance welding machines are complicated and very costly. Automation and controls are more in these. Many resistance welding equipments are custom - built. The machines can be operated with single phase or three phase mains. The equipment may be direct energy or stored energy machines. All the resistance welding machines require a low voltage, high current output (current in the order of thousand to lakhs of amperes).
