EQUIPMENT FOR RESISTANCE WELDING
The equipment for resistance welding is different from that for arc welding for the following reasons: Resistance welding machines are complicated and very costly. Automation and controls are more in these. Many resistance welding equipments are custom - built. The machines can be operated with single phase or three phase mains. The equipment may be direct energy or stored energy machines. All the resistance welding machines require a low voltage, high current output (current in the order of thousand to lakhs of amperes). Four main constituents are:1. Electrical Power source2. Mechanical system3. Control equipment4. Feeding system

LASER WELD OVERLAY I CLADDING This process brings the metal surface to a substantially higher temperature than in the heat treating process and results in a thin molten surface
APPLICATIONS OF CO 2 WELDING CO 2 welding is extremely useful for joining thin sheets of thickness range 1.0 to 2.0 mm because it is possible to keep the heat input low to av
Find out the recoil-velocity of the gun: As shell of mass 200 gm is fired at a velocity of 50 metres/second by a gun of mass 20 kg. Find out the recoil-velocity of the gun.
Draw schematic diagram of a position control system using armature controlled DC Servo motor. Graph the signal flow graph and hence calculate the closed loop transfer function.
