What is the difference between the Atomic Theory and the Kinetic Theory?
Atomic theory is all about structure of an atom, i.e., its composition. Like an atom in general is made up of number of neutrons, protons residing in nucleus and electrons orbiting around the nucleus. Though, kinetic theory deals with the manifestations of gases as molecules suppose that the volume occupied by molecules is negligible compared to the domain and the intermolecular force among molecules is also insignificant. Also assuming that there is a perfectly elastic collision between molecules and among molecules and wall, various macroscopic properties such as pressure, temperature, enthalpy etc are derived. For instance pressure exerted by gas on chamber walls can be derived by computing the momentum exchange of molecules with the wall. Therefore apparently there is no similarity among the two above-mentioned theories.
Will light go any length along the fiber? Each conductor has losses, and in the case of fiber optics, all these are sizeable. Light losses into the industry average 2 to 5 perc
The energy possessed by a object by virtue of its position or its configuration is called its potential energy. Concept of potential energy is valid only in conservative field.
A 15-kg child experiences an acceleration of 0.25 m/s2 as she is pulled 1.7 m horizontally across the floor by her sister. Calculate the change in the child's kinetic energy.
Resistors in dc circuits: Components are said to be in series when they are connected end-to-end providing only one path for the current. Thus the same current passes through
A boy goes to market with a average speed of 29 km/h.He returns back half the way he went with a average speed of 40 km/h.Find average speed for whole journey.
why deflection magnetometer can not be worked at poles?
Light propagates as transverse EM rays. The magnitude of electric field is much larger as compared to magnitude of magnetic field. We generally prefer to define light as electric f
Explain physically how a p-n junction functions as a rectifier. Ans: When a P-N junction diode is forward-biased and applied voltage is increased from zero, hardly any current
Define the Diatomic Molecules in Two Dimensions? You have been transported to a two-dimensional world by an evil wizard who refuses to let you revisit to your beloved Columbia
Q. Define: binding energy. The energy equal of mass defect is called as binding energy. ∴ Binding energy = [Zm P + Nm n - m] c 2 = Δm c 2 . Here, Δm is the mass defe
