Determine the term- Shrinkage of Concrete

Shrinkage of concrete is primarily due to gradual loss of moisture which results in change in volume. The shrinkage of concrete depends on the mix constituents of  concrete, size of  the member, type of member and the environmental conditions. It is most influenced by the total amount of water present in the concrete at the time of mixing and by the cement content to a lesser extent.
