Determine the coefficient of performance of refrigeration, Chemical Engineering

Assignment Help:

A food storage chamber requires a refrigeration system of 15-ton capacity operating at an evaporator temperature of -10° C and a condenser temperature of 30° C. Refrigerant Tetrafluoroethane (R-134a) is used and the system operates under saturated conditions.

Determine:

a. C.O.P

b. Refrigerant flow rate

c. Rate of heat released by the condenser
