Define the term - permanent load, Civil Engineering

Assignment Help:

Define the term - permanent load

Where the permanent load is less than or equal to 25% of the design imposed load, deflections may be calculated using any elastic method. When permanent load is more than 25% vertical deflection limits for beams and slabs may generally be assumed to be satisfied provided that span to effective depth ratios are not greater than the values specified.
