Define the Term Parasites
As you may already know, is a plant or animal that at some stage of its existence obtains its nourishment from another living organism called the host. Several foods act as carriers of parasites, which may cause illness when ingested. The parasitic infections of foods may occur due to contamination of food by a food handler directly or by polluted waters. In many parts of the world, the consumption of under-cooked meat and fish are popular. The problem of contamination with parasites can occur when the food preparation is made with polluted water and under-cooking prevents the parasites from destruction.
