Earn out arrangements  

Consideration could be delayed and paid only upon achievement of certain criteria. For illustration the predator company may pay additional cash if acquired company achieves certain set profit levels. It is a type of contingent consideration. It will help predator company as it delays cash dispersal and also if acquired company doesn't perform, predator company has not paid too much.
