Define the Factors That Are Affecting Colour Perception

The two most important factors which influence colour perception include: Temperature, and Humidity How do these factors influence colour perception? Both these factors affect the dullness or brightness of the colour. Colour appears to be brighter at a higher temperature, as the glossiness is increased at higher temperatures.

Under humid conditions, reflected rays are more diffused so the object appears dull in colour. Earlier, we learnt that the cones are not as sensitive to light as the rods, but are most sensitive to one of three different colours - green, red or blue. So, the cones are used for colour vision. Some people cannot tell some colours from others - these people are "colour blind."
