Define Sample Preparation for Haemoglobin Content in Blood

Wipe the index finger or middle finger with a cotton swab soaked in spirit.
Prick the finger with a lancet opersting device after a gentle massage of the finger.
Discard the first drop and with the help of a haemoglobin pipette take 20pl blood for analysis.
Add the 20 pl of blood to 5.0 ml of the Drabkin's reagent in the test tube marked Sa. Mix. Let it stand for at least 4 minutes and read against a reagent blank at 540 nm.
