Define memory management
In multiprogramming system the user part of memory should be further subdivided to accommodate multiple processes. The task of subdivision is carried out enthusiastically by the Operating systems and it is known as memory management. Efficient memory management is vital in multiprogramming system. If merely a few processor in memory, afterward for much of time all of the processor will be waiting I/O and the processor will be idle. Thus memory requires to be allocated efficiently to pack as much process in to memory as possible. Memory management de-allocates and allocates memory for every process as apart of operating system and keeps track of memory. Memory management as well selects the memory to be allocated.
