Define magnetic field, Electrical Engineering

Assignment Help:

Define Magnetic field

The area around a magnet is known as the magnetic field and it is in this area that the effects of the magnetic force formed by the magnet can be detected. A magnetic field cannot be seen, felt, smelt or heard and thus is difficult to represent. Michael Faraday suggested that the magnetic field could be shown pictorially, by imagining the field to having of lines of magnetic flux, which enables investigation of the distribution and density of the field to be carried out
