Define Classification of Fats and Fatty Acids?

Lipids which are solid at room temperature are referred to as fats and those which are liquid are oils. Lipids are more apt when referred to all of them. However, in nutrition textbooks, fats and oils are referred in diets and lipids are referred in body fluids, like, serum lipid profile.
