There is a decrease In blood concentration of the hormone / binding protein transport. Sensitive hormone receptors diminish. Age-related decreases are seen in glucose response. As far as reproductive hormones are concerned - in females, there is a decrease in estrogen and progesterone after menopause. There is a negative feedback effect.
