Topics for projects as we indicated earlier should emerge from the children's world. Teaching often becomes boring and uninteresting for children when the teachers have a fixed idea of what is to be done. When children are not involved, the process becomes mechanical and children do the task because the teacher has said so.

The project theme must also allow for different concepts to be taught. The project described earlier dealing with shoes, dealt with a number of concepts across subjects of curriculum.
