Create wordpress plugin - widget to show data from json feed, Web Project

I am creating a WordPress website for a client but my coding/JSON knowledge is not adequate.

The client is a member of onthecity and need feeds for Upcoming News and Events and a Login to appear as widgets on the bottom bar on their own website

The City has a JSON API available.

Could you please provide me a quote for doing this?
