Construction of Passenger Terminal Building:

There are various concepts in planning and constructing passenger terminal buildings. These are :

(a)        The international and domestic traffic is segregated in separate buildings, or they are housed in one building with clear separation.

(b)       The arrival and departure are handled at ground level and passengers either walk to the aircraft or are transported in buses and use stairs.

(c)        The arrival and departure are handled at two levels. Passengers use aerobridges to board or alight from aircraft.

The terminal building should be functional in design, with no conflict of movement.
