As a result of the conquest of Latin America, Europe, Africa, and the Americas now had their histories forever linked. How did the relations of conquest and cooperation among these groups work themselves out and function? Leaving aside Cortes, Pizarro and the other ‘leaders' of the Conquest, what was the role of intermediaries/go-betweens in bridging and building the new colonial order?
