We learned in which vectors oriented at right angles to one another could be added together by using the Pythagorean Theorem. For example, two displacement vectors along with magnitude and direction of 11 km, north and 11 km, East can be added together to generates a resultant vector which is directed both north and east. While the two vectors are added head-to-tail as display below,
